Calling Artists and Creatives

Hello, I'm Adam Ingle and welcome to the Creative Angle, my weekly newsletter focused on helping artists and creatives turn their art into a career.

I'm a graphic designer and artist working toward becoming a full-time creator. As an artist, I like to make things, but it's hard to make a living from your art. If you're like me, you probably look up to a lot of artists and creators and ask yourself one of the following questions:

  • "How do I do what they do?"
  • "How did they get there? And how do I get there too?"

I'm by no means an expert. In fact, I'm literally starting my own journey to becoming a full-time creator. So, this is why I created this newsletter, to give creators and artists the knowledge, confidence and tools they need to follow their passions and find out what it takes to make a living from their art and creativity. On personal level, I hope writing a weekly issue will help me:

  • Hold myself accountable toward this goal.
  • Be more disciplined.
  • Get better at writing and story-telling.
  • Grow as an artist.
  • Develop my own business.
  • Have a record of my process and development.

The Structure

Here's what you can expect to see if you decide to subscribe. Every Sunday, I'll be sharing the latest update with my subscribers. I feel the following blueprint will help keep each newsletter concise, informative and easily digestible:

  1. One Lesson - As you now know, I'm just starting out. I'm hoping this will act as the most important aspect of this newsletter by providing all of the lessons I have learned on my journey to becoming a full-time creator.
  2. One Creation - I'll upload a piece of work that I made that week. We constantly have to work on our craft to become better as artists and creators. This will likely be in the 3D pipeline on Zbrush and Cinema 4D.
  3. One bit of Advice - This is a new and challenging process that I'm sure will come with plenty of set backs and failures. I'll share with you advice and practical tools that I discover along the way to help you avoid the same mistakes I inevitable make.

So, if you're an artist or creator, starting your own journey or already established, and any of this sounds like something you might be interested in. Then I would love for you to subscribe. I'm very excited to finally start this journey and work toward this goal I've had but been putting on the back burner for far too long.

Adam.
